Code of Conduct
When you accept the invitation to become a DreamsWork student, you agree to the commitment to do certain things in exchange for having a mentor, participating in extra-curricular activities, and having the opportunity to receive a college scholarship from DreamsWork. Your pledge, faithfully kept, gives you the power to claim the DreamsWork promise. You can remain in the program only by keeping this pledge.

I pledge that:
- I will strive to be a leader. I will make every effort to set a good example by serving others, working hard, being cooperative, showing respect for fellow students and those in authority, and obeying the reasonable and lawful commands of my parent(s)/guardian, teachers, school administrators, coaches, and mentors.
- I will strive to be a good son/grandson or daughter/granddaughter. I will respect my parent(s)/guardian, be obedient to lawful requests made by them, and set a good example for my siblings.
- I will strive to be a responsible citizen. I will obey the laws of the land. I will not commit a crime such as the use or possession of illegal drugs or alcohol, committing a curfew violation, or any other criminal activity. I will work to make my community a better place in which to live.
- I will strive to be a good student. I will work hard to apply myself in my studies and meet or exceed the minimum DreamsWork academic standards. I will use appropriate language, be courteous, follow directions, use reconciliation instead of violence to solve conflict, and will not skip school or be expelled for any reason (I understand that being expelled will result in an immediate suspension from the program pending review by the Conduct Review Committee).
- I will strive to be a faithful participant in the DreamsWork Program. I understand that it is a privilege to be a part of the DreamsWork Program. I will not brag about being involved in the program in front of others. I will participate in its extra-curricular activities unless I have a valid excuse, at which point I will contact my school coordinator ahead of time to let them know that I will not be able to attend. I will remember to be grateful that I have a mentor and to thank them on a regular basis for their time and energies invested into my life.
